Maximilian Villwock is a director and writer educated at the Film University Babelsberg, Germany. Currently residing and working in Berlin, his films focus on universal stories set in unseen worlds.

His latest project, A PASSAGE is a VR experience that was funded by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and has received a BAFTA nomination.

Other works have been shown at the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Hof International Film Festival, International Film Festival of The Art of Cinematography Camerimage and The Uppsala International Short Film Fest. 

His film PANDA III received “Best Short” at Achtung Berlin Film Festival. PENTHESILEA, a mid-length feature film was nominated at Studio Hamburg Young Talent Awards for “Best Short Film” and broadcasted by renowned German television station 3sat.
